Having just gotten home last night to revel in my own dogs, I can imagine the hole in your heart - even if Annie wasn't a house dog. Do you have other LGDs to carry on her work?
Thank you all for your thoughtfulness. And no Margaret, it doesn't get easier to let them go, but it was the kindest thing for her and so I stopped being selfish. Michelle~we have a male Maremma too, but he's very lonely now. Gail has offered to let us have 2 Great Pyrenees and we will head to Indiana next weekend to get the. Kind shepherds are everywhere.
I am so sorry for your loss Kelly. Only other dog lovers can know the depths of dispair over being forced to part with a beloved canine friend. God speed, beautiful Annie!
Oh no -- so sorry to hear that news. Sending you hugs -- RIP Annie.

My sympathy, Kelly. Annie looks like a real sweetheart. I lost a beloved old dog this month too. It just never gets any easier does it?
